The PML Experience®
Questions Asked by PML Experience® Participants
Quite often, people who are preparing to attend one of our PML Experience® training programs have various questions regarding their accommodations, transportation and the actual training. The questions listed below are typical and are followed by our answers. If you have a question which does not appear here or if you require further clarification, please do not hesitate to call or e-mail us at any time.
Q. Where is PML Experience® held? A. All of the Atlanta programs take place at the Wyndham Peachtree Conference Center in Peachtree City, about 30 minutes south of downtown Atlanta.
Q. How do I get there if I’m driving? A. For the best possible driving directions, please click HERE or call Wyndham Peachtree direct and ask for the directions over the phone.
Q. What is my hotel expense? A. For convenience of the participants, we have negotiated an all inclusive compete meeting package (CMP) with the location hosting the PML Experience®. The CMP includes the hotel room, all meals, breaks, tax, tips, gratuity, and meeting charges. When staying at the Wyndham Peachtree, your daily CMP is $330.40. While we make arrangements for your stay during the program, you are responsible for extending your stay. The Wyndham PML Experience® contact is Laura Suga (770-486-3304, lsuga@wyndham.com).
A: Once we receive your nomination, you will be e-mailed a letter confirming your enrollment in PML Experience® with details regarding dates and times for the specific program that you will be attending. You will also receive reading materials which will be e-mailed as Word attachments. Following this, you will be e-mailed an invoice for your tuition. Typically, PML Experience® begins on Monday at 5:30 pm and ends on Thursday at 1:45 pm. We ask that you plan for your incoming flight to arrive no later than 3:30 pm and outgoing no earlier than 3:30 p.m.
Q: Why is tuition due 60 days before the program? A: Tuition can be paid any time prior to the program, in fact we encourage companies to pay earlier in order to guarantee registration. Unlike a hotel, a conference center cannot sell rooms that become available at the last minute due to a cancellation. Therefore, we must commit to pay for the total block of rooms, whether they are used on not. This commitment is required 60 days prior to the program.
Q: Do I need to make a reservation at the conference center/hotel? A: No. We negotiate with the conference center for a complete meeting package rate that includes your room, all meals, all breaks & receptions, all taxes and appropriate gratuities. In order to insure everyone the best possible rate, we reserve a block of rooms. For this process to go smoothly, it is best if we make all arrangements for participants. This is just one detail which you will not have to take care of yourself.
A. The airport is Atlanta's Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport. PML Experience® begins at 5:30 p.m. on the first day and ends at 1:45 on the final day. We strongly recommend that you schedule an incoming flight which arrives no later than 3:30 p.m. and an outgoing flight with a departure time of 3:30 p.m. or later. We make these recommendations to allow you ample time for ground transportation from and to the airport, check in and terminal/gate changes, security checks, and any unforeseen traffic delays.
Q: How do I get to the conference center from the airport? A: Call the conference center at 1-770-487-2000 and ask for the airport shuttle or e-mail our on-site conference manager, Laura Suga at lsuga@wyndham.com. You can make a round trip reservation at this time. Another option is to take a taxi--with two or more people, the per person charge is comparable to the shuttle.
Q: What is my rate at the conference center? Are there any extra charges? A: We have negotiated a complete meeting package rate. This includes your room charge, all your meals, breaks and receptions, all taxes and gratuities. Currently, the all inclusive rate is $330.40 per day. This rate will be confirmed in a letter which is sent to you upon registration.
Q: I require special meals. What do I need to do? A: Attach a note to your nomination form, call our office and ask to speak to Elizabeth Hemphill, or simply fax us a message (864-229-2367) giving us your dietary requirements. We take care of the rest. It’s that easy!
Q: When will I have free time so I can get some work done? A: PML Experience® is an intense training program. Every component of the program is designed to offer new learning or to support learning points made earlier in the week. We ask that you devote your entire time to all PML Experience® sessions and that any work issues be dealt with only during scheduled breaks.
Q: Can I get a smoke-free room? A: Absolutely. Call the office or e-mail us and we will make sure your request is honored.
Q: What do I do if I want to come early or stay through the weekend? A: You should call the conference center personally and ask for the conference planner for PML Experience®, Laura Suga (770-486-3304 lsuga@wyndham.com). Please mention that you are attending the PML Experience® program and that you are extending your stay--this will insure the best rate possible (outside of our special rate during PML Experience®).
Q: When does my all-inclusive rate begin? A: It begins with your dinner Monday night and runs through lunch on Thursday. All meals prior to the Monday dinner should be paid or charged to your room.
Q: Can I check in to the conference center early? A: The center attempts to accommodate you with early check in. This depends, however, on room availability. Normal check in time is 3 p.m., but rooms are usually available by 1 p.m.
Q: Why can’t I get details about the PML Experience® program? Why is everyone who’s already attended so secretive? A: PML Experience® is a very personal experience. It would not be helpful to your full learning to know all of the details. Therefore, we ask PML Experience® graduates not to share the experience with you, but we do commit that it will be unforgettable and rewarding.
